How would you describe the ambiance of your store?

Chaotic, as soon as you get in, there’s loud rock and roll, psychobilly, punk rock on the stereo. The whole team has a mixture of passion and we wear it on our sleeves. The customers love it and often come just to hear what we were too. We are a lifestyle shop and our clientele lives for the same mess and the same clean and tight haircuts as we do.

What is your preferred Uppercut Deluxe product?

The product I use the most is the Matte ointment that drives our customers crazy and we can’t keep enough on our shelves. My favorite is Monster Hold, I challenge everyone to find a better complete hair product!

What is the best advice for someone visiting your region?

The music scene of the hulls is becoming more and more important every month, punk and psychobilly parties, rock ‘n’roll DJ sets at the marina. A major renovation of the city center after the presentation of the prize of the City for Culture of the United Kingdom. In addition, we are the friendliest city in the UK, there is always something fun to do here.

What is your biggest influence on the barber?

Shane Nesbitt, I followed his work for a long time before I started becoming a barber, his work, his attention to detail and what he does for his clients make me grow hard every day. Also, the few times I’ve interacted with him on Instagram show that he’s a great guy.

Why did you go to the barber?

I accidentally fell into the barber, it started with shaving the mohawks in the heads of my friends as teenagers and when we slowly started to find suitable jobs, they started to want suitable haircuts, I went to college to do welding, when I saw an ad for barber courses and it just clicked, at the end of the week I was working in a store and less than 2 years after we opened the doors to the Fat Fingers and I never looked back.
